Some children suffer from hyperactivity, difficulty in staying focused, controlling behavior or paying attention. It mostly affects when children are between three to six years. This disorder leads to unstable relationships, poor performance at school or work and low self-esteem. This problem arises in childhood and continues towards adulthood.

When ADHD persists in adults there is restlessness, impulsiveness, and difficulty in focusing. On the other hand hyperactivity ceases. My child is 12 years old and he is quicker in solving any math, science questions but often complaints come from his school that he does not pay proper attention towards what teacher says. Even at home when I teach him about any topic of science his mind wavers about something else. Sometimes he gets frustrated about his own ideas and is not able to make other people understand.

Whenever I tell him to write about any topic, he drifts and moves to other tasks. He would rather love to do kitchen work, gardening, or would watch TV. I was very depressed with his poor performance at exams. Then one day my friend told me that this is a disorder and you should start giving your child Strattera but after doctor advice. After Strattera medication there was a huge difference in him. Now his complaints from school have lessened and in the home whenever I taught him he concludes at least 70% of what I teach. I am really thankful to my friend who suggested me Strattera.

Strattera has primarily Atomoxetine that helps a person with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Strattera balances the chemicals in the brain that leads to impulse control and hyperactivity. It comes under the classification of norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor and is most approved drug of choice for adults, children, and adolescents.

For acute treatment, the dosing depends on upon the body weight.
